Borgo di Colleoli Resort

A charming stay amidst history and nature in the heart of Tuscany. Between Pisa, Florence, and Siena lies Borgo di Colleoli, gently set atop a tuff hill surrounded by olive groves.

The original Castle of Colleoli, owned by the Leoli family and dating back to the early Middle Ages, was later purchased in 1424 by the Agostini Venerosi Della Seta family. Between the 17th and 18th centuries, it was transformed into a noble villa and country estate thanks to significant renovations of the interiors, frescoes, and decorative elements. Today, the property consists of a manor villa at the center of a complex of rural buildings that were once part of the farm: a business center with an olive mill, a granary, and a workshop.

The Borgo

The entire Borgo, meticulously restored in 2003 by the Palummo & Pierotti Associated Architects studio with the consultancy of the Fine Arts Authority of Pisa, has been transformed from an aristocratic residence into an exclusive holiday retreat.

The estate offers high-level hospitality with apartments located in the annexes of the patrician villa, creating a distinctive atmosphere. The spaces have been converted into residential units of various sizes, while fully respecting the architectural standards of the period.

Borgo di Colleoli is also the ideal place for those who wish to savour the wines of the Pisan hills or discover the history of the area and the art of the masters of Tuscan Mannerist painting.

Those who prefer to relax amid a centuries-old woodland or enjoy a panoramic setting will find two extraordinary pools scattered throughout the estate, along with a children’s pool.

Borgo di Colleoli can be easily reached from several airports, although Pisa is the most convenient one, located just 30 minutes away. Florence, Bologna, and Genoa are also valid alternatives.

From Pisa Airport, head towards Florence, then take the second exit following signs for Pontedera. Continue towards La Rotta and then Palaia. The journey from the airport to Borgo di Colleoli takes approximately 30 minutes.

From Florence, follow the road towards Pisa and exit at Montopoli. Continue following the signs for Palaia and then for Colleoli.
